It’s official now, Watermark was released over 25 years ago! To commemorate the album release and Enya’s first Top 1 single, Raidio na Gaeltachta played some snippets from an interview Enya did with them at the time. The presenter introduced the piece by explaining that this time 25 years ago Enya released her debut album and that Orinoco Flow was at the top of the charts.
You can listen to the interview (in Gaelic!) on Raidio na Gaeltachta website (it starts from 22 mins on) and read the English translation kindly provided by Draíocht an Dúlra in the article archive.

aahhahh, Noodle! I remember my first impression of “Watermark”. At that time I was strumming noisy chords on a cheap electric guitar with some friends I called ‘our rock band’. Then came my brother holding the album in his hands and said to me “hey, you got to hear that!”.
My brother, although young, was skilled in reading musical score and played the classic guitar as it was taught to be played. His taste in music was somewhat too reserved for an average adolescent.
Then he put the LP on the turntable; and I couldn’t help but agree that the sound of it was coming from a very distant century; and what totally freaks me out with Enya’s music is that after all those years I keep receiving the same impression when listening to her sound. Such a rare “amarantine” impression!
btw, doesn’t Enya’s galic accent sound much sweeter than the average media gaelic? I get such an impression from time to time although I pick no syllable in gaelic.

I loved listening to Enya in her native language. Does anyone know if there is a way to download it and keep it? Thanks.
