This will truly be an incredible album. My “can’t wait to hear song” (which is all of them) is mostly The Loxian Gates. Wow!

David: Fully concur! The Loxian songs are the best. I wonder what language Diamonds on the Water is in? It sounds like either Gaelic or Loxian.

The track nr 3 is the best, beautiful, modern, something new, you should put this song to promote your Enya album. I imagine with a stunning clip. No. 1 in global sales. I already imagine on all radio channels. I also like 6 and 10 but I really love tout.Merci Enya. And then how to present us all the songs, hear your sales management, good job.

@David Yes, if I could choose just one song, I’d pick The Loxian Gates too. But I can’t so I pick them all ;)
@Gabriel I believe (hope) it’s in Gaelic. She sings something just before the song fades out but I can’t make out the words.
@Zhen Yes, it sounds very different, like a pop song (in a good way). I guess it’ll be the second single if there’s one.

I can not seem to detect any Irish language lyrics, but they
may only be in part of the song, as in Books of Days and Eubudae

I was listening for the Irish lyrics too. I am wondering if they appear in mid-track on one of the songs. Or–possibly one of the additional bonus tracks on the deluxe version contains the Irish song. The Loxian Gates was the most impressive to me–that sounded like Book of Days meets The Memory of Trees–epic and old-school Enya. I was really intrigued by Sancta Maria–the high-range vocals sounded almost like a boy’s choir and the instrumentation felt a bit Caribbean Blue–which is AWESOME.

@Seoirse @JRE The first part of Diamonds on the Water sounds like Gaelic to me, and then she goes into English. Maybe I’m wrong. After all, the only Gaelic I could detect is Enya’s after all these years!

I’m really liking this teaser. Only a few more days before the album is out. But all the tracks sound great.
My favourites from the snippets: The Humming, Even in the Shadows, Dark Sky Island, The Loxian Gates.
I think the first part of Diamonds on the Water are just intonations (da-da-dee-da…), and the she moves on to sing in English.
I’m so glad Enya decided to take some time off from the studio. The album sounds so fresh and her signature style feels very revitalised!!

Wonderful !!! The words are missing, amazing, seems to be the most powerfull Enya album, what a power, what an impressive strengh in the Loxian Gates ! All other are seems to be jewels too, very hard to wait now, more than yersterday !!

So…I just heard the sampler under reservation because I want the full effect on the 20th, and I am shaking. I have never been so emotional listening to music ever since I heard Anywhere Is for the first time.
I am now 100% convinced that I will not be able to listen to this album in full when its released because the emotion will be too much for me. If only mere ten second previews get me overwhelmed, I have no idea what the full song will do. Oh my gosh.
Dark Sky Island, Even in the Shadows, The Forge of Angels, Sancta Maria, Astra Et Luna, and Diamonds on the Water will have me in tears I just know it. Especially the insanely beautiful lyricism of Dark Sky Island. I am shaking just thinking about it.
The Loxian Gates is probably the greatest thing I will ever hear. My most anticipated track. I might have to work myself up to that one.
First time I heard Enya was all at once after stumbling upon the video for Anywhere Is. I must have 16 years old. Now, I am 20 and its taking me back to the first listen.
I cannot wait.

Even In The Shadows chords sound like Only Time’ and the instrumentation remind me of Book Of Days, which made me a bit had deja vu, so great :)
Dark Sky Island, like the sequel of Long Long Journey
Astra Et Luna, I thought it will be a dark theme as most of Enya’s Latin song (except Afer Ventus and Miraculum). But it has a joyful theme, just like Wild Child.
The Loxian Gates remind me of The River Sings, but The Loxian Gates has a greater feeling (for right now :D)
Diamonds on the Water title remind me of Willows on the Water at first, but DOTW is not an instrumental. It’s like the mixture of Less Than A Pearl and Only Time..

After listening to this sampler I realized for the first time that Heaven must be a place full of Pizzicato. Hundreds of thousands of violins, violas and cellos performing an endless Pizzicato. sounds as if a celestial harp tries to replicate the rhythm of the falling raindrops and falling stars in melody with such a vibrant intensity.

I do admire how the themes of her other music and back catalogue are still so prevalent, lyrically and musically. But with this album, it seems there is a new sound also, with songs like – Sancta Maria, Even in the Shadows, Echoes in Rain and the Loxian songs. Wondering if there is any actual instrumentals on this album, cos Diamonds in the Water is vocalised?
Anyway, I am much looking forward to hearing it properly. I do think the 2 Loxian songs sound the best so far, the most unique and “other worldy” (excuse the pun). I’m hoping that one day she may release an e.p or album solely of loxian songs or possibly another new book expanding on their mythology, the influences and poems by Roma :)

Wow! I’m really floored by all of the samples. I was not expecting such a variety and and energetic album based on the two songs we’ve gotten so far. We’re given such a powerful opening track, a thrumming, adventurous title track, Sancta Maria and The Loxian Gates just remind me of tracks from The Celts – which I was not expecting, but very glad to hear it! It’s definitely not just a rehash of what she’s been doing with the last two albums, and it’s so so refreshing to hear! I’m so excited to give it a proper listen – and it looks like the bonus tracks will still be a mystery by the time it comes out!

What a diverse set of music! Absolutely beautiful. I love how her voice has deepened and matured over time. The melody also sounds more reflective and retrospective compared to the previous ones. After seven years, I have to say it feels like a miracle that she’s releasing this amazing album. I know I would appreciate the songs forevermore.

Does Enya sing all vocals herself on the album? Anyone knows?
I would be extremely disappointed if she used the real choir on the album. then it’s no Enya sound anymore…
