Idolator published an interview they did with Enya just after the New York preview of her new album. It’s a very good read and especially this part made me very happy: "Dark Sky Island is still a very different album, commercially. It’s not like anything anybody else does — it’s songs in Gaelic, songs in Latin and in Loxian."

That’s great news. I wonder how many artists have composed and sung novel melodies in Latin in the last 10 centuries. It’s such beautiful and timeless piece of art. Speaking so deep into the grounds and the cultural roots of Europe.
And then Gaelic; I guess Enya and Roma seek in the Loxian language exactly what I’m finding in Enya’s Gaelic; that mystic beauty of the smooth sound of a language which is impossible for me to decipher and spell, composed by noble minds and pure intention. While language is more than plain words; it reflects the whole inner world, the aspiration and the ideals of the linguist.

Great! I’m definitely excited to hear these tracks. I’m still hoping for at least one instrumental, but I’m just thankful for more Enya music!
