Music Week published a short article mentioning the hopufully upcoming but not yet officially announced Enya album. Things sound pretty promising:
The creative triumvirate – Enya, producer and sound engineer Nicky Ryan and lyricist Roma Ryan – have created a collection that’s both incredibly diverse and innately unified by the production: almost Spector-esque in its lavish, wide screen multi-tracked layers of sound.

There is no new information here.

I’m a super big fan, Sometime I’m just wondering why enya’a team is doing things this way, to try to create a mysterious feeling or too busy or not sure how to do PR well?
2 October 2015 at 4:12 AM
I hope with this new album coming, enya will get some interview and talk about why is this album take so long and why there’s so lack of communication
2 October 2015 at 8:18 AM
I know it’s frustrating but there is nothing we can do. I wanted to close down this website next January if there was no news but this is at least something :)
As for the article, the new info for me is that it is the very first time someone actually said they had heard the music. The official website and forum never mentioned the words “new full-length album,” they just said “new information is coming soon.” I hoped it meant new album, but it was just a hopeful guess :)

Enya is a mystery, his music is a mystery, it rises above the earth, above what we hear on this earth so promoting his new album is also launched in some mysterious way. This is our Enya, even if it irritates me too but I understand
2 October 2015 at 2:54 PM
I have met Eithne’s siblings and uncles (ie.Clannad) and Moya Brennan
a number of times. Very cordial and receptive to their
fans and very down to earth. Interesting that the younger
sister/niece is so different. A very talented family, at any rate.
Eithne, Mo Cheol Thú — Irish for: Enya, you are my musical inspiration.
2 October 2015 at 5:13 PM
100% there’s a Album & Single Coming, have been a listener/fan since 1998.
“Lack of communication”??? I have never known Enya to go to unity.enya or any site and talk up a storm. Even when the internet had became big in the late 90’s/early 2000’s you did not see her using it that much. Just to keep up with the times they got a web site. Now that Facebook & Twitter are born, does she have to use it?. Keeping up with the times again they now have one (Facebook and Twitter and other socal media accounts)! :) More then likely you will be getting announcement or lyrics, small sayings from Roma Ryan or from Warner Brothers. Don’t expect Enya posting dinner selfies and talking about random stuff. She is not Britney Spears (not to be insulting, I’m a fan of her too). If I did not know better I would think most of Enya’s fans were kids/teenagers? I for one am in my late teen’s early 20’s and you don’t see me expecting all of that. I don’t know if it’s the Old Fans going crazy or newer fans that don’t understand how trio works they need a Enya history review. Jumping On the trio’s back has to stop. I feel very disappointed with a lot of the fan base & feel that The Very Best of Enya (album) was over looked. Most of her albums don’t pass the 5 year gap line. So I can see why some are in panic being 1 year over that. It’s not like we are in 2022 and no new album. Although some how I do feel music arties who have been out there a long time have slowed down on Albums and etc. Enya can’t be rush on inspiration for making albums we have heard this in countless interviews. I believe if they were to retire they would make a announcement in the album of in a interview but is a good question to ask Enya.

“Everything flows, here comes another new day
hallelujah”
2 October 2015 at 8:37 PM
Is “Aurora” the title?
2 October 2015 at 9:01 PM
that looks like a legit design, could it be offical???
2 October 2015 at 9:39 PM
I’m not too young to understand. 6 decades and two years. What is it that ENYA “owes” us in terms of “communication”? Why are we entitled to ask more of her than she’s already given? Her body of work speaks for itself. Millions of people have been comforted by her music. The trio has accomplished a fine thing. A life well-lived. I wish ENYA all the best in her life. Appreciate her without asking for more. So we spent a few dollars to buy her music. She gave us the best of herself for years. In my book, that’s enough. Blessings to you all.
3 October 2015 at 12:10 AM
INCREDIBLE new video on the link !!! Can’t wait for a new album, it sounds will be great, a new beginning for Enya 10 years after her last non-seasonnal album… An important page on Music History indeed !
3 October 2015 at 12:22 AM
And hope there will be at least one piece sang in gaelic, it would be the first time Enya makes an original gaelic song since A Day Without Rain in 2000.
15 years after it could be so great !
3 October 2015 at 1:16 AM
A new song in the Irish Language would be great.
The little snippets sound great so far, would
like to hear more
Maith thú, Eithne!
3 October 2015 at 1:45 AM
I like this little clip, I listen loop. The new sound, bravo Enya … I really hoped while staying true to your style you’ll invent something nouveau.et it succeeded.
3 October 2015 at 3:42 PM
The new album is so joyous and full of mystery, excitement, discovery, and realization. Whether by some heavenly power or interplanetary visitations, we do not walk through this experience called ‘life’ alone. We are watched over… looked after… Almost guided by a gentle, unseen force. But its presence is felt.
As we continue to look to the heavens in both wonder and amazement, we also look on with questions and hope. As on “Shepherd moons,” we come to the conclusion that sometimes a mystery is the best conclusion. For who knows the way of the world…only time.
These songs represent that feeling. These songs look on with hope and amazement at this beautiful, wonderful thing we call earth.
A song for the moon.
Turning blue, it just may.
A song for the sun.
Ringing in another new day.
Hallelujah…
(Look to the stars for the way…)
3 October 2015 at 6:52 PM
who is ‘rr’? and how does this person know what the album already sounds like?
4 October 2015 at 1:50 AM
The writings of this person ‘RR’ remembers me of Roma Ryans booklet with ‘amarantine’. May it be?
Only if…I guess.
Still getting back at a earlier conversation here. Im 28 now and she started to produce albums in the same year ive been born. And as far as beeing too youngh to understand I totally disagree. She has for years been known as a privacy girl. Never went out in the open. Only if she has too.
Now with Warner I do see more pr stuff then ever before.
Still I respect her silensness and Although its been so many years I do believe,
Music comes from the heart, not out of a pen…
And thats a fact you can experience in every song shes written.
4 October 2015 at 9:47 AM
Dear Diane,
if that is what she wants or like. It’s her good right.
Im living in the middle of a forest and besides work im no going ‘out’ really. When im playing the piano al by myself open up the doors and see the nature arround me, im the happiest man on earth. So maybe reclusive, But thats the way I like it, and perhaps she likes it.
And than again, she owes us nothing as she allready gave a great lagacy of her live. Not saying im not thrilled for the next album.
4 October 2015 at 2:12 PM
There is A NEW SNIPPET of Enya’s song on her official facebook!!!!!

4 October 2015 at 2:48 PM
Thats for the artist to deside if they keep up with there fans. Im respecting the ways they do it (Nicky, Roma and Enya) ofcoars its great to hear from them in any way, But I know thats not going to happen. Although, not until shes going to release the album.
Now with Warner on there side there will be more publications, But im not sure if thats a good thing. It’s all gonna be too commercial in the end. The thing that does bother me is that China and Japan are having a great lot more attention then we (western part) getting.
Hope that changes some Day
I do understand your frustration, But then again its her/there choice.
4 October 2015 at 3:31 PM
I never thought the tone on this website would get. contentious. This surprises me because Enya’s music is so ethereal, majestic and beautiful. OK, it would be fair to desccribe Enya as a recluse and her team – Ryan and Roma are certainly part of the reclusiviity. But, it’s always been this way. With the advent of the internet (especially social media : Facebook and Twitter) — I guess we except them to jump on the bandwagon. I think it’s refreshing that an artist these days is less in the public eye. For me I have always been more interested in the art than the artist. (i.e. do I really need to see Enya’s selfies in her castle?) – I think her music speaks for itself.
4 October 2015 at 3:33 PM
Diane: I don’t know why you seem to think that artistes are obligated to communicate with their fans. I’m 26 years old now. I’ve been a massive fan of her music since I was 6. As far as I can recall, she has never made it a point to touch base with her fans. And even if she did, then it’s a PRIVILEGE for us, not a right.
“Music, such music, is a sufficient gift.” – Vikram Seth
4 October 2015 at 3:37 PM
I meant Nicky and Roma
4 October 2015 at 4:36 PM
Diane: Yeah she’s a multi-millionaire. So what? She earned it, didn’t she? She chose to make music because that’s her passion, sans any expectation of commercial success or interest in becoming a pop star in the conventional sense. Lots of people liked her music, paid for it, and enjoyed it. An unexpected yet fortunate circumstance for her, and a happy trade for everyone. The end.
You don’t like the long wait in between the albums and the lack of press releases? You don’t like buying music from a musician who does feels no obligation to update you on their progress? Well, too bad. Life must be painful for you. The simple choice for you is to just opt out and stop supporting her. Don’t buy or listen to her music. Just don’t bother. And don’t complain, or be whiny and irritating.
4 October 2015 at 4:39 PM
This is what I want: coverage of Enya via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc. I want selfies before, during and after each meal. I want streaming videos of selected days
with Enya playing with her cats. I want a video diary of how she selects her clothes for the day. And any time she goes out : I demand selfies and more videos.
4 October 2015 at 4:40 PM
jeesh some of you people are ridiculous.
4 October 2015 at 4:47 PM
Gabriel, I agree with you very much.
4 October 2015 at 5:07 PM
Kurt: Thanks. Yeah, it reminds me of nasty gaming fans who get all hissy and spam game developer pages with tons of rude comments in the vein of, “Why are there still no updates on the release date? Release the ^$#*^%$ game now. I NEED to play it NOW!” Um, sorry, what? Just because you’re willing to pay for something doesn’t mean you deserve to have it delivered according to your terms and demands.
Aight, I’ve wasted enough energy typing that. Anyway, I’m really thrilled at the news. And Lucia, thank you so much for maintaining this website. This is my first time here, and I’m really glad that you’ve made the laborious effort of archiving a lot of articles that have long disappeared from other places on the internet. This is a really precious site for Enya fans. If hosting it is ever an issue in the future, I’ll be happy to chip in.

I feel lucky that I’m born in a period of time that can enjoy Enya’s music, some people have never heard beautiful sound like that before they leave, last album was 7 years ago, and think back it felt like yesterday, how many 7 years do a person have? I really hope enya can work more efficient and to leave more beautiful work to the earth :)

Her new logo of the album is very great :)
Thanks to Enya and her team :)
5 October 2015 at 9:46 AM
For the first time ever, I deleted some comments that in my opinion went a bit too far.
Feel free to share your opinions about Enya and the new music, feel free to respectfully criticise. I believe anyone can have their opinion. However, please refrain from name-calling and attacking other users.
Thank you.
5 October 2015 at 10:57 AM
I absolutely agree with that!
5 October 2015 at 11:06 AM
Thank you Lucia.

Thank you, Lucia?

@kelley Yes, you’re right, it was an oversight on my part.
6 October 2015 at 3:04 PM
Just a day of gratitude for me. I am grateful that I am around at the same time as Enya. This feeling I have must be the same kind of feeling people had during the time of Bach or Beethoven. To be alive at the same time to experience such genius is truly a wonderful feeling.
Enya feeds my soul – her music sustains me like water and air.
6 October 2015 at 8:29 PM
In Enya’s first language it goes
Is í Eithne an cumadóir is mó onár n-aois.
(Enya is the greatest composer of our age)
6 October 2015 at 8:45 PM
I think Enya had been fighting a serious disease, that’s why it took so long.
6 October 2015 at 10:41 PM
As many of us, I think it’s now the good time for Enya to announce her new album, officially. Time to keep us in touch with the lead theme, yhe cover album, photos, tracklist, date of release, new samples or better a futur firt single etc… We are all so excited ^^
It was almost 1 month since her website was uploaded, with another snippet since it. We need more now ha ha ! But as many of us said, we have wait 7 years, we can now wait some weeks more for what is announce to be an incredible release, even probably the most important release of Enya.
I like this kind of mystery made around the album, like it will be so great that it has to take its time to be announced.
6 October 2015 at 11:14 PM
The first play of ‘Echoes In Rain’, the first single from the new album, will be this Thursday at 11:30am GMT by Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2.
7 October 2015 at 2:56 AM
Enya’s music is always something to look forward. As a massive fan of hers since the initial release of her first album, my honest opinion is that her melodies and voice are always incredible and unique. However, I DO agree that her output since ADWR has all sounded like the songs come from the same album. I am less a fan of Enya’s neo-classical (marcato strings and pizzicato plucks) style and more a fan of her wide-screen, epic sound (particularly showcased on her first four albums). If you listen to Watermark or Shepherd Moons, there is a variety in the instrumentation used. A lot of ambient sounds and textures. Beginning with ADWR, she moved in a more synth/string direction which is beautiful–but after several albums of, sounds quite similar (as far as the actual background instrumentation). I loved it when she used Uilleann pipes, oboe, etc. in her earlier albums. Even listening to the first album, songs like BOADICEA and BARD DANCE are so individual and unique stylistically. I would love to hear some diversity of sound and instrumentation on the new album. So far, the two snippets sound like Enya is doing the same sort of soundscaping she’s done for the last 3 albums–and I hope that doesn’t hold true for the entire album. I mean, an Enya album is always something to be celebrated, but I hope the trio stretch themselves a little on this new album. Oh, and PLEASE…a song or two in Irish!!

A Day Without Rain
It’s In The Rain
Trains And Winter Rains
I won’t be surprised if there is something related to the rain in the new album.

@rr That’s a place-holder cover made by the admins of Enya Brasil. It’s very nice but definitely not official.
7 October 2015 at 9:02 AM
How this is possible only in Brazil they know more than us.
7 October 2015 at 11:45 AM
I fell in love with the sound Enya created (or used more frequent) in ADWR. I love those up-tempo stings and pizzicato, accompanied by Enya’s multilayered unique voice it becomes a sound so unique and with an emotional feeling so great, I can’t experience that with any other sound/artist/musician (except for my favorite pianist). I love the other songs too, the more slower ones and the ones we’ve seen more on here first few albums. But for me, I could never get enough of the sound I fell in love with by hearing Wild Child for the first time. Hearing that sound was like a discovery for me, like I finally found what I have been looking for. Hence the first two samples for this new album are like heaven.
7 October 2015 at 3:37 PM
I hope the songs on the new album are different because some songs and the music sound similar on previous albums. Fans have been waiting for a DECADE for new music from Enya, it would be a pity if the new album didn’t have something totally different and new arrangements. With that said we’ll have to wait and see!!!
