Even if you missed Trains and Winter Rains radio premiere, you can listen to the song on the BBC website. Go to BBC 2 - Wake up to Wogan and fast-forward the Monday show to 1:44. I am in love with the new single, I think it's really catchy :)
Big 'thankyou' to Ernesto for sending me the lovely cover of Trains and Winter Rains single.
Some great news from enya.com: Terry Wogan will play Trains and Winter Rains on his morning programme 'Wake up to Wogan' at 9.10 am (GMT) on Monday 29th September 2008. The show is available online. I can't wait to listen to the whole song. I heard just a short sample and now I am super-excited about it :)
I also updated the links - added some new fansites and erased the ones that are no longer online.
The tracklisting of A Winter Came was announced on enya.com. According to the site Enya, Nicky and Roma are at the moment recording their last track of the new album My! My! Time Flies!. I find it great that the news appeared on the official site first :)
Tracklisting
I can't believe I'm getting news on the upcoming album from a Slovak music newsletter, but apparently it's so. The first single for And Winter Came is named Trains and Winter Rains and is going to be released to the radio very soon - on September 29th. There are also two more promo photos, I just love the flower picture. it's soooo pretty :)
Warner Music Norway uploaded a press release on And Winter Came. It mentions that the album contains twelve tracks, two of which are traditional Christmas songs - O Come, O Come, Emmanuel and a new version of Silent Night (Oche Chiun). Read the whole article.
Enya will release a new album titled And Winter Came on November 10th. Yay, I am so excited!
Citation from the official site:
"I always wanted to do a Christmas album, but as we began recording I didn't feel it was right to impose a Christmas theme on certain songs," explains Enya. Says Nicky, "We started out writing for a Christmas album, but it has evolved into more an Enya album based in a winter landscape where Christmas arrives here and there, but it would be wrong to call it an Enya Christmas album."
There are also new promo photos that look absolutelly stunning. I just love them all! On the other hand, the sight of the new cover almost made me cry. I pray it's just the thumbnail size that makes it look so less than wonderful. Although, the reason why the author felt the need to photoshop a sculpture of a horse behind Enya remains a mystery to me...
I decided it's time to change my desktop and finally make something else than scrapbook kits or layouts. "Afer Ventus" is my first wallpaper since June (!?!), so be nice to it *lol* I suspect it still looks kinda scrapbookish, but I love it anyway. I wish you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
