Roma confirmed the release of the new best of album. There will also be a special edition containing a dvd. This is definitely great news :)))

It’s been quite a long time since our last communication. I hope you’ve all had a chance to relax during the summer holidays. As you will see soon on the Home Page, Warner Music will be releasing a new ‘Best of Enya’ album this November 16th. They have asked Enya , Nicky and myself to choose the tracks, which we are in the process of doing at the moment. They will also release a special edition which will contain both DVD and documentary footage. I will keep you posted as we progress with this. Hope you’ve all been keeping well.

I've been quite active behind the scenes and there are some improvements in the code. You might have noticed the new cool, slick and amazing lightbox effect in the gallery or on the lyrics page. Wow! I hear you say ;) Actually, I'm writing about it just to let you know that you can open more windows at once and then move/resize them if you want to.
Concerning the gallery, the latest three pictures are now showing on the main page. I decided to implement the feature because last week I uploaded new photos and didn't feel they were really update-worthy on their own. (Enya after appearing on Live with Regis and Kelly, New York, December 2008 and two portraits from Amarantine promotion, New York, March 2006)
I also made six And Winter Came puzzles for you to play with and added links to an up-to-date Italian blog Sail Away, Ukrainian fansite Flora's Secret, German fansite And Winter Came and wonderful Czech site Lazy Days by Kamil - I'm biased, I know that. On the other hand, I'm sad to say that Aleksandra has closed down her great website The Enya Realm.
Last but not least, I wrote a guide to Enya's non-album tracks as I realised that there wasn't a page summing them up on the site. You can listen to many of these songs in the music room of Enya's official site.
Google News listed an article at AlbumVote.co.uk that says the following: Enya is to release a new greatest album on November 16th called 'The Very Best Of Enya'. The multi-million selling Irish superstar last greatests hits album was back in 1997 when 'Paint the Sky with Stars' sold over million copies. I don't know the site and haven't found other mentions of the new album yet but it definitely sounds very exciting. After all, it's been 12 years and 3 full-lenght albums since the release of PTSWS.

Enya won the Best Female Vocalist category at Ireland's Music Awards. Woohoo! Congratulations! It's definitely well-deserved and not too surprising ;)
In other news, I added a list of guest musicians that appeared on Enya's recordings, 15 new AWC icons and got my copy of MMTF promo today, yay! The cover is just sooo pretty.
Hi everyone! Enya has been nominated for Ireland's Music Awards in the Best Female Vocalist category. The awards event for Irish Traditional, Folk & Celtic Music is set to take place on Saturday August 1st 2009 at the Royal Theatre Castlebar as part of The World Fleadh festival.
It is the voting public who decide who wins the awards so VOTE FOR ENYA HERE.
I hope she wins as she definitely is the best, most-talented, cutest, all around sweetest nominee and one more award on the shelf never hurts :)
