I found an article from the ‘And Winter Came…’ promotion that I haven’t read yet. It was published in the Australian magazine MindFood in November 2008 and Enya talked about her hobbies, favourite writers and spending time with her family in Sidney. Read the ‘Celtic songbird’ article here.

EXCERPT:
“My life is really very normal. When I’m not writing music I catch up with family and friends. I read, I particularly like Daphne du Maurier and Alan Bennett. I go on holiday. I have dinner parties. I fix up my house.

I go to Pilates, and because my back gets so tense from being hunched over the piano all day, I have lots of shiatsu massages. I’m not that reclusive. I like going out. I love red carpet events like the Oscars and the Grammys but I don’t like my picture in the paper for the sake of it.”

Fresh new design for my baby :) Also some rearranging and revamping here and there… Most noteworthy are And Winter Came articles in the archive and the lyrics guide.

Enya is currently promoting the second single of the album My! My! Time Flies!. The track was released only digitally with no additional b-sides on February 2nd. Enya performed the song on several TV shows:

• Late Late Show (Dublin, February 6)
• Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel (Salzburg, January 31)
• The Alan Titchmarsch Show (London, February 3)

At the moment, I am in the process of completely revamping the gallery and adding more pictures, so please be patient. I also wrote a special And Winter Came page and completed the lyrics and tracks.

Eithne talked about how And Winter Came explores themes of the season and the passing of time. You can listen to the interview as well as another one from Paint the Sky with Stars promotion at the NPR website. I am just drooling over both of them, Eithne is just perfect, got to love her :) Btw, is it just me or do you also find that her accent has changed over the years?

At the moment, I’m working on some updates to the website (adding AWC info and photos as the traffic got back to normal) and wanted to ask you: is there anything particular you’d like to see?

A very Happy New year to all of you!

Enya performed Orinoco Flow and Dreams Are More Precious for the Japanese TV show Kouhaku. The performance was broadcast via satellite from Castle Leslie in Monaghan, Ireland. Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying the holiday season with your family and friends. I had quite an Enya Christmas as I got an autographed AWC album (she signed 200 copies for a Taiwanese charity project) and a signed TAWR single with a AWC promo book (Loxian Games prizes). Enya talked to Elaine Paige and Neil Fox about her favourite music, I must say that I really enjoyed listening to these interviews. Indulgence and My Essential Musicals. I checked some of the songs online, it was really an interesting mix.
