ENYA has stepped in to ensure some terminally ill children meet Santa Claus this Christmas.
The singer heard a radio appeal on NewsTalk 106 by Con Murphy of the Children to Lapland Committee, which organises the trips for sick kids.
He told the station a funding crisis was putting the project in jeopardy, but Enya’s manager rang the programme to offer a g20,000 donation.
A NewsTalk spokesman said: “Con was gob-smacked when he heard about the offer.”
